Trudy J. Trevor Bennett
Trudy J. Bennett, 72, of Moline, Illinois, died surrounded by her best friend and family on Friday, December 9, 2022, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island, IL.
A hospitality gathering will be 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, December 17, at CityView Celebrations at Trimble Pointe (Lower Level), 701 12th Street, Moline, with a time of sharing for family and friends at 2:00 p.m. Cremation will take place prior to services at Trimble Crematory under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home.
The former Trudy Jean Trevor was born August 11, 1950, in Moline, the daughter of Robert MacPherson and Beverly Jean (Malone) Trevor. She was a member of the Moline High School Class of 1968.
Trudy was an avid reader. She loved her many pets over the years, including Abby, Cloe and Piper, her cat. Above all else, she loved her grandchildren.
Trudy is survived by two sons, Trevor (Rachel) Bennett of Rock Island, Justin Bennett of Ohio, and Rafeek Yassin of Tipton, Iowa, who was like a son to her; her grandchildren, Sophie MacPherson Bennett, Piper Bennett, and Hunter Bennett; a niece and nephew, Leah Trevor, Bo Trevor and Aaron Huizenga, and their children, MacPherson Born, Edric Born, Lyla Huizenga, and Layton Huizenga; her second husband (father of Trevor and Justin) and his wife, Dan and Denise Bennett of Silvis; and special family friends, Moses “Moe” and Mike Puig, John Kay, and Doug Zeroth, and her former daughter-in-law, Tenaya Brown Guinn of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her son, Mark Sikes.
