Elizabeth "Betty" Marie VanBrunt, 55, of Moline, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005, at Forest Hill Health & Rehab Center, East Moline.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, at First Church of the Nazarene, Rock Island. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, 6601 38th Ave., Moline. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the church.
Betty was born Aug. 31, 1950, in Moline, to William Thomas and Helen Johnson Lambert. She married William VanBrunt May 3, 1975, in Rock Island.
Betty was Polio Princess of Moline from 1955 to 1960 and also was Miss Wheelchair Illinois in 1983-84. She was active in her church and was the "craft lady" in vacation Bible school. Betty loved making crafts overall and enjoyed making baskets.
Survivors include her husband, William VanBrunt, Moline; daughter, Crystal Clark, Moline; grandchild, Kerridwyn Clark, Moline; mother, Helen Lambert, St. Petersburg, Fla.; sisters, Patricia (husband, Darrel) Peterson, Rockford, Ill., Dorothy Williams, St. Petersburg, Fla.; brother, Tom Lambert, Muscatine, Iowa; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father.
