Juna Douglas

Juna Douglas Juna Lea Douglas, 61, a resident of Bettendorf, died on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, at her home following an extended illness.

Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

She was born May 2, 1950, in Moline, the daughter of Paul and Bernadine Williams Randles. On Feb. 13, 1971, she was united in marriage to David L. Douglas in Moline.

Juna was an accomplished quilter and was a member of the Mississippi Valley Quilters Guild and the Muscatine Quilters Guild. She loved quilting for her family and especially enjoyed the time spent with her beloved grandchildren and great-granddaughter.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, David; her daughter, Amanda (Nate) Cauwels, LeClaire; her son, Chad (Elissa) Douglas, Davenport; her grandchildren, Holly, Mitchell, Alyssa, Arianna and Adalynn; her stepgranddaughter, Cassie; her great-granddaughter, Nikaya; her sisters, Paula (Bill) York, Moline, and Marie (Gary) Marsh, Kentucky; her brother, Joseph Randles, Coal Valley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Juna was preceded in death by her sisters, Melvia Hubbard and Beverly Sweeney; and by her parents.
